Ok, so I've been threatening to do this for a while now and the time has finally come!

I'm running a giveaway to promote my jewellery.

First prize is this:

This beautiful little necklace is made from stunning ivory and white pearls strung on silk. Radiating out from the center are 25 headpins, with yet more pearls. It fastens with a toggle clasp in a floral design, made from tibetan silver.

2nd prize is £5 or $10 off anything in my Etsy shop.

The retail price for the necklace is £15 or $25 and this is the chance to have it for nothing.

'How?!', I hear you ask? Simple! The first entry is given for simply emailing me. That's it! You can, however, obtain more entries simply by doing one or more of the following:

1. Tweet about me on Twitter.
2. Blog about me.
3. Mention me on your Facebook status update.
4. Feature me in your Deviantart journal.

In order to qualify for these bonus entries you MUST put a link to either:
1. my blog ( [link] )
2. my Etsy shop ( [link] )
3. my Facebook fanpage ( [link]=profile#/pages/Birmingham/Eiriels-Eclectics/119458250659?ref=mf ).

Preferably all three :P

Once you've done any/all of these, drop me a line at saidar(at)gmail.com linking me to your blog, twitter account, deviantart or facebook page so I can check you're not being naughty and trying to cheat :P

The closing date for this is Saturday the 29th and I will use random.org to find the winner!

If you need clarification on any of this, please comment or email me and I'll get back to you :)

Hey guys,

Just a quick one, as you probably know (due to the last journal...) I now has an etsy store :D I'm going to start recommending UK stores that I like for whatever reason in the hope that some of you will take a look! I know it's only July, but it's a good time to start buying for christmas!

LouisaRose has some truly beautiful photographic prints and excellent prices. There are some gorgeous summery floral ones that would be perfect to brighten up a room or to give as a present.

My personal favourite is this one: [link]

Well, light box has been created and needs some fine tuning, but it's not too bad.
Sadly, half of the jewellery I wanted to photo is at my parent's house, so I shall have to wait to upload those.

I'm also considering subscribing...what do people think of the subscription service? Is it work it?

The joys of photography

Right, so my photography skills are, let's face it, a bit dodgy. Some of my jewellery doesn't look anywhere near as good on here as it does in real life!
To remedy that I've been doing (*gasp*) research. The conclusion is that I must make a light box! This seems to be a relatively easy process so as a break from revision I shall be doing so and photographing some old and new bits. Then, as more procrastination is needed, I shall replace old photos and upload some totally new ones, including some as yet unseen jewellery. Including my entry to the Jewellery Club's current competition ([link])!

First I must finish reading the thrilling chapter of 'Religious Experience of the Roman People', published in 1911. A contender for the driest book ever written on a fascinating subject, methinks.

Also, spotify is the best invention ever after the wheel. That is all.
